Wayan Palmieri, a globetrotting filmmaker hailing from the enchanting island of Bali, blends an extensive background in on set production and post-production. His expertise spans the realms of editing, workflows, VFX, and stereoscopic imagery.

Wayan grew up on the tropical island of Bali, Indonesia, and has lived in various places worldwide, including Asia, Europe, Brazil, and the United States. He received his degree in Video & Audio Engineering from the LA Recording Workshop (Los Angeles Film School), where he began his career in the film industry.

Wayan has been on numerous projects, including music videos, documentaries, fashion, commercials, concerts, shorts, TV shows, and Indie/Feature films. He worked with Digital Revolution Studios (DRS) and helped deliver over 22 hours of material to clients such as 3net (Sony & Discovery), Sony Music, Hitachi, and the US Army. Some of those notable productions include "Bullproof," "3D Safari Africa," "Jillian's Travels," "Don't Stop" by Foster the People, and the first-ever 3D telecast of the 2011 3D Creative Awards, "Your World in 3D."

Wayan has also collaborated with Blvd Industries & The Faktion, working on various projects for Sean Paul, AWOLNATION, Tiesto, Brandi Carlile, Speakers, Rod Stewart, Red Bull Records, EMI Music, Nintendo, Atlantic Records, Sony Music, Capital Records, DKNY, RealD, and Samsung.

In addition, Wayan has worked on theatrical and large-format films for National Geographic Films, Lionsgate Films, and Paramount Pictures. Some of his notable releases include "Mysteries of the Unseen World," "Noah," "Insurgent," "Transformers 4," and "Terminator Genisys."

Wayan is also a talented music video director and editor, having directed and edited several music videos for Bambaata Marley, including "Waiting for the War," "Unconditional," "Deadbeat," and "Beyond."

Since 2015, Wayan has dedicated his expertise to Marvel Studios, serving as the lead 3D stereoscopic editor. In this role, he has successfully delivered 21 feature films and over 30 trailers. Additionally, Wayan has contributed as an assistant editor on multiple Marvel TV shows including "What if" & "I am Groot".

2023 editing projects included "Inner Love Energy", a music video for the music group MAGIC! , a short film "Tripping the Fantastic" directed by Matt Burns. In 2024, the indie feature film "The Private Eye" starring Matt Rife was released in theatres and streaming services.

With the rise of AI in art, Wayan co-created and edited a music video with MAGIC! called "Sunflower Fields".

Wayan's great-grandfather, Johannes "Hans" Bartholowsky, was a Golden Era matte painter, artist, and Hollywood veteran who was known for his skills in glass painting, designing, and creating film sets. Bartholowsky began his career at Lasky Company (Paramount Pictures) and continued at Warner Bros and Columbia Pictures.

Wayan is a member of the Motion Picture Editors Guild (Local 700).
